Celebrating Paganism in Romford


Welcome to the website for The Sacred Hart Moot, Romford's main gathering point for Pagans in and around the Romford area.

The Sacred Hart Moot is a Pagan gathering that occurs in Romford on the first Tuesday of every month.

Our moots are run in association with The Pagan Federation and you can also find us listed in their Green Pages.  Although we are a Pagan Federation moot, most of our gatherings are open to members and non-members alike. So feel free to drop on by. Anyone interested in joining the Pagan Federation can do so at our moots or may otherwise join at their leisure by visiting the Pagan Federation website at:

Our moot is open to all members of the Pagan community, from Asatruar to Witches, and we try to accommodate a variety of traditions in our celebrations, festivals and gathering. Check our calendar to see what we have lined up.
We also do our best to wrangle interesting speakers and performers to our moots, for both education and entertainment. Keep checking back for updates on what we have lined up over the coming months, as well as any outings or trips for our members.

Temporary Venue!!!

Sorry to say that our venue, La Tasca, in the Brewery, has closed down.  We're in the process of looking for a new venue in Romford, but in the mean time, we'll be holding the next moot in The Bitter End pub.

The Bitter End is at 15 High street, Romford.  Just down from the Golden Lion, at the bottom of Romford Market. (It's on Google maps)

Next moot is a social evening, to welcome everyone back for the new year. 
If you have any ideas for what you would like to see at the moot this year, subjects for talks, etc. then come along and let us know. 

The moot will be at the usual time:  7.00pm - 10.30pm, on Tuesday Feb 7th.

What to Expect

Our moots are open to everyone, whether you are Pagan or just curious.  All we ask is that our members are respectful towards the other people who attend.
We do our best to create a friendly atmosphere where like-minded people can get together as a community.  We are always open to new people and the group owners will always help out in answering any questions and generally making you feel at home.

We regularly have speakers come down to give talks on a variety of subjects, from magic to mythology and more.  We also hold a selection of open rituals, celebrating a wide variety of Pagan festivals and holidays, from a wide variety of spiritual paths.

Attendance at The Sacred Hart Moot is free, unless we have a speaker, in which case we charge £3 per person (or £2 for Pagan Federation members) to cover their costs.

The Sacred Hart Moot also stocks Pagan Dawn magazine - the official journal of the Pagan Federation!
